Opening 12 minutes of “Sound of My Voice” released

At the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, one of the many new faces to catch
everyone’s attention was Brit Marling, co-writer and star of two films
at the festival. The first of them, “Another Earth.” was already
released back in July 2011 by Fox Searchlight Pictures. The second,
“The Sound of My Voice,” also bought by Searchlight, has been delayed
until now, and will be released on April 27 this year. The film,
directed by newcomer Zal Batmanglij, stars Marling as the leader of a
cult, who claims she is from the future. A journalist and his
girlfriend join the cult to try and investigate her, bit are quickly
pulled in as well. Searchlight has released the opening 12 minutes of
the film, as opposed to the standard trailer. You can watch it below,
and get a taste of what to expect from the film.
