The San Francisco Film Society has a New Theater

SFFS Cinema

For the first time in its history, the San Francisco Film Society (SFFS) will showcase films at its own theater in San Francisco. The theater, to be located in Japantown’s New People building, will showcase SFFS films year round. The theater will have 143 seats, a THX sound system, and will also be the home to many SFFS events, from panels to classes and workshops. Located in the heart of Japantown at 1746 Post Street, the theater is near many amenities including the Japantown shopping center. The cinema, which opens to audiences in September, will be located below ground level in the New People building.
